Preparing for Umrah travel
Umrah requires administrative and logistical preparation. This guide lists the steps to plan for; it does not replace official information from the competent authorities.
Documents and formalities
Check your passport validity and consult official sources for current visa and health requirements. Rules can change depending on the period.
Choosing your dates
Ramadan and school holidays are high-demand periods. Prepare early to keep more choice of flights and accommodation.
Flights, hotels and transfers
Compare flights to Jeddah (JED) or Madinah (MED), choose accommodation close to the holy sites, and plan transfers between the airport, Makkah and Madinah.
